Modus Opera & Eye
Modus Opera & Eye plays Agnostic Gospel and Soulful Nihilism for the People. A theatrical, multi-instrumental one man band, playing original music that incorporates blues, folk, gospel and a circus flavor to create a sort of Tom Waits meets Jacques Brel vibe. MO&E is the brainchild of Ricardo Zegri, a scene veteran who has been working as a musician in the Bay Area for a few decades, Founding several underground bands in the late 90s and early 2000s including: Satyrica, American Bindi and Crumpled Napkin. He currently plays in two established working bands besides Modus: 5 Cent Coffee (Neo-skiffle Junkyard Blues) who recently played at the Cotati Accordion Festival, and High Card Drifters (All original country-fried Gomer-punk).
